Authorized Paragon dealer · full factory warranty

Brand new and shipped direct from Paragon, so it carries Paragon's full factory warranty. If something goes wrong, call us and we handle the claim with the factory for you.

Warranty terms are in the Warranty and support section below.

Returns: request within 15 days, unused

Because kilns are heavy and often built to order, returns are limited, so we'd rather help you pick the right one up front:

  • Ask within 15 days of purchase or 2 days after delivery, whichever comes first. We issue a return authorization (RA).
  • It must be new, unused (beyond the factory test fire) and in its original packaging.
  • A restocking fee of at least 25% applies, up to 50% on custom, 3-phase or made-to-order units. Return freight is on the buyer unless we made an error.
  • Damaged in transit? Note it on the delivery receipt, send us photos and we'll help with the freight claim.

Will it work in my space? Power check

Most 240V kilns need their own circuit and the matching outlet, installed by an electrician. Homes are usually 240V; schools and commercial buildings are often 208V, so pick the voltage that matches your panel.

Send us a photo of your breaker panel or outlet and we'll confirm before your kiln is built: 470-264-3563 (call or text).

It fires to Cone 10 on 208V or 240V power at 48 amps with a quiet, efficient solid-state relay.

What’s included
The kiln, assembled and wiredParagon builds and wires it at the factory. Sectional models arrive as stacked sections that you set one on top of the other; the kiln itself needs no assembly.
Digital controller, factory-installedParagon fits and wires the controller before the kiln leaves the factory. Paragon has been renaming and replacing its controller line and dealer listings are out of date at different dates, so we do not print a model name here. We confirm the exact controller with Paragon when you order.
Type-K thermocouple, installedA 1/4" 14-gauge Type-K thermocouple with an exposed tip, on special-limit wire, fitted at the factory.
Prop-R-Vent lid propThe two-stage fall-away lid prop is standard on the kiln. It holds the lid cracked open for the early part of a firing and drops away on its own.
Printed manualsA printed instruction manual for the kiln and a separate guide for the controller. Warranty registration is done online at Paragon, and we do not promise a printed warranty card in the crate because we could not confirm one is packed.
Electrical connectionParagon wires the larger CT top-loaders direct to the circuit — no cord, no plug — while some smaller builds ship with a plug instead. We confirm which one your voltage option gets before the order goes in.
Paragon limited warrantyParagon limited warranty — we confirm the term for your model before you order. Paragon's published schedule and its dealers' listings disagree on the term for this kiln, so we will not print a number here that we cannot stand behind.
Not includedNo shelves, posts or kiln wash. No kiln vent either: the kiln comes drilled for a vent and the Prop-R-Vent flap is standard, but the vent motor and collection cup are not in the crate and are bought separately. The mercury relay is a separate upgrade.

Common questions
What can I fire in the CT122829?
The CT122829 fires to Cone 10 (2350°F), covering stoneware, porcelain, low-fire earthenware, and mid-range glazes. At 10.57 cubic feet it's sized for a serious production potter or a shared studio's full firing schedule.
Do I need 208V or 240V, and single-phase or three-phase?
The CT122829 ships wired for the voltage and phase you specify at order time. Most home and small studio installations use single-phase power at 240V; three-phase service is typically found in commercial or school buildings. Check your electrical panel or ask an electrician before ordering.
Does the kiln come with shelves or a stand?
No — like most Paragon top-loaders, the CT122829 ships as the kiln body itself. Shelves, posts, and a stand are sold separately as a furniture kit and stand accessory so you can choose the configuration that fits your studio.
What's the difference between the CT122829 and the CT122829 Viking?
Both share the same 28"×29" chamber and 10.57 cubic foot capacity. The Viking version is built for extra heavy-duty firing and ships with Paragon's SENTINEL Smart Touch touchscreen controller as standard, versus the base CT122829's solid-state relay.
Is the warranty valid if I buy from Peach State Pottery?
Yes. Peach State Pottery is an authorized Paragon dealer, so your CT122829 comes with Paragon's full one-year manufacturer's warranty. Register your kiln within 30 days of delivery to activate coverage.
