Stilts and setters hold glazed work clear of the shelf during a firing so the glaze cannot fuse a piece to the kiln furniture. They are mostly used for low-fire glazing and for small glass and jewellery work. Choose a size and height to suit the piece, and expect to replace them from time to time, as stilts break in normal use.
