Common questions
Can the 2327G operate on both natural gas and propane?
Yes, the Olympic 2327G is convertible between natural gas and propane operation. The kiln is typically shipped configured for natural gas, but can be converted to propane using the appropriate orifice and regulator adjustments. Both fuel types deliver 150,000 BTU/hour at maximum output. If you need propane configuration from the factory or conversion components, contact us before ordering.
What installation requirements does this gas kiln have?
The 2327G requires professional installation by a qualified gas technician or plumber familiar with local building codes. You'll need adequate gas line sizing (typically 1-inch for natural gas, 3/4-inch for propane), proper ventilation with an exhaust hood or chimney system, non-combustible flooring rated for 850+ lbs, and clearances from combustible materials per manufacturer specifications. Always obtain necessary permits and inspections before operating the kiln.
Does this kiln include kiln furniture?
No, kiln shelves and posts are sold separately. The 23.375-inch interior diameter accommodates round shelves up to 22 inches or half-shelves for flexible stacking configurations. We recommend ordering a furniture kit sized specifically for the 2327G when you purchase the kiln, as you'll need shelves and posts rated for cone 10 reduction firing before your first load.
What type of atmosphere control does the updraft design provide?
The updraft burner configuration on the 2327G delivers excellent reduction capabilities through bottom-fired heat circulation. The adjustable damper system allows precise control over oxidation and reduction atmospheres throughout the firing cycle. This design is particularly effective for traditional reduction glazes, carbon trap techniques, and raku firing where atmosphere control is critical to achieving desired surface effects.
How is the warranty validated?
Olympic Kilns provides a one-year limited warranty that must be registered within 30 days of delivery. The warranty is only valid when the kiln is purchased through an authorized Olympic dealer like Peach State Pottery and properly installed according to manufacturer specifications. Keep your proof of purchase and installation documentation, as warranty claims require verification of authorized purchase and proper setup.
Not sure if the 2327G is the right kiln for your space? Our kiln specialists can help you evaluate gas line requirements, ventilation needs, and firing capacity for your studio.

Customer Responsibilities

For warranty service, the customer may be responsible for dismantling, packaging, and shipping only the parts requested by Olympic Kilns.

  • Requested parts must be packaged carefully and shipped freight prepaid.
  • The customer is responsible for dismantling and reinstalling parts.
  • The customer is responsible for packaging and shipping costs unless otherwise stated.
  • Only the parts requested by Olympic Kilns should be shipped.

If an entire kiln is returned for warranty repair, the customer is responsible for prepaying the cost of packaging and shipping both to and from the factory.

Repair, Replacement, or Refund

If Olympic Kilns determines that the issue is due to a manufacturing defect, Olympic Kilns will repair, replace, or refund as appropriate within thirty (30) days.

Repaired or replacement parts will be shipped back to the customer at Olympic Kilns’ cost using the customer’s package. The customer is responsible for reinstalling the parts.

Non-Warranty Repairs

If the parts sent to Olympic Kilns require repair or replacement for a reason not covered by the warranty, no work will be performed until the customer authorizes the work and makes payment arrangements.

Limits of Warranty Coverage

Olympic Kilns shall not be liable for injuries to persons or property, or for incidental, contingent, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to every customer. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
