Common questions What electrical service does the 2318HE require? This kiln requires a dedicated 60-amp, 240V single-phase circuit with 6-gauge copper wire, hardwired to a disconnect box. A licensed electrician should install the electrical service. The kiln can also operate on 208V with adjusted performance. Do not attempt to plug this kiln into a standard outlet. Does this kiln include kiln shelves and posts? No, furniture is sold separately. You'll need shelves sized for the 23.375-inch chamber diameter and posts to stack them. We recommend ordering a furniture kit matched to this kiln size at the time of purchase to ensure proper fitment. Can I add sections to make this kiln taller? Yes, the stackable design allows you to add ring sections to increase firing chamber height. However, adding sections increases the electrical load and may require rewiring and a larger breaker. Consult with Olympic Kilns before modifying the kiln configuration. How do I register the warranty? Complete the warranty registration form on the Olympic Kilns website within 30 days of delivery. You'll need your kiln serial number and proof of purchase from an authorized dealer. Warranty is void if purchased from unauthorized sellers or if registration is not completed within 30 days. What is the difference between the standard KilnStar and the Genesis touchscreen? The KilnStar controller provides reliable Cone Fire and Ramp-Hold programming suitable for most ceramic work. The Genesis touchscreen upgrade offers a color display, storage for 200 programs, real-time graphing, and advanced diagnostics preferred by production potters and educational facilities running complex firing schedules. Not sure if the 2318HE is the right kiln for your space? Our team can help you select the right kiln size, confirm electrical requirements, and coordinate delivery logistics in the Atlanta area.
