Common questions What electrical work is required to install this kiln? The MAS2327HE requires a dedicated 60-amp, 240-volt single-phase circuit with 6 AWG copper wire. This kiln must be hardwired by a licensed electrician — it does not include a plug. Verify that your electrical panel has capacity for the 48-amp load before ordering. 208-volt operation is possible but reduces power output. Does this kiln come with shelves and posts? No. Kiln furniture is sold separately because ceramic and glass work require different shelf configurations. We recommend ordering a furniture kit sized for the 23.375-inch chamber diameter when you purchase the kiln so you can begin firing immediately upon installation. What are the advantages of the stackable design? The three-section stackable construction allows you to reduce chamber height for shallow firings (saving energy), provides easy access to heating elements for inspection and replacement without disassembling brick, and makes it possible to move the kiln through standard doorways by separating sections. The stainless jacket on each section maintains structural integrity. How do I activate the Olympic warranty? Register your kiln at the Olympic Kilns website within 30 days of delivery. The one-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship but requires purchase through an authorized dealer like Peach State Pottery. Keep your invoice and installation records. Should I add the SSR upgrade when ordering? Yes, if your budget allows. The solid state relay upgrade replaces mechanical contactors with electronic switching, which extends element life by 20–30%, eliminates the clicking noise during firing, and reduces voltage spikes. It's easier to install during initial setup than as a retrofit. Not sure if the MAS2327HE is the right kiln for your space? Our team can help you evaluate electrical capacity, compare models, and coordinate delivery in the Atlanta area. Talk to an expert →
