Brand new and shipped direct from Evenheat, so it carries Evenheat's full factory warranty. If something goes wrong, call us and we handle the claim with the factory for you.

Returns: request within 15 days, unused
Because kilns are heavy and often built to order, returns are limited, so we'd rather help you pick the right one up front:
- Ask within 15 days of purchase or 2 days after delivery, whichever comes first. We issue a return authorization (RA).
- It must be new, unused (beyond the factory test fire) and in its original packaging.
- A restocking fee of at least 25% applies, up to 50% on custom, 3-phase or made-to-order units. Return freight is on the buyer unless we made an error.
- Damaged in transit? Note it on the delivery receipt, send us photos and we'll help with the freight claim.

Overview
Evenheat · Kiln Controller · Control BoardsThe board inside the controller, for every Evenheat controller generation — Icon, Icon+, RM2, RM3, TAP 1 and TAP 2. Most are listed twice: a new board, and a cheaper replacement price that applies when your old board goes back to Evenheat. Read which one you are buying, because the difference is $60 to $105.
TAP availability: Evenheat advised in writing on 2026-06-04 that the TAP controller is unavailable on all high-fire multizone kilns until further notice, and that ICON+ is offered in its place. If you are replacing a TAP board on a high-fire multizone kiln, talk to us first — the answer may be an ICON+ conversion rather than a like-for-like board.

What’s included
New or replacement — they are different pricesA replacement board is priced on the assumption that Evenheat gets your old one back. If you are keeping the old board as a spare, you want the new price. Tell us which and we will make sure the order is right.
Match the controller, not the kilnAn Evenheat kiln of a given age can carry more than one controller generation, and the board is specific to the controller. Read the controller's own label rather than the kiln model.
Serial number helpsEvenheat will confirm a board against a serial number. Send yours and we will have it checked before the order goes in — a controller board is not a part you want to guess at.
The dongle is not a boardThe TAP 1 USB dongle is listed here because it belongs to the TAP system, but it is an accessory, not a replacement board.

Common questions
Which board do I have?Read the controller's own faceplate or label — it will say Icon, Icon+, RM2, RM3 or TAP. If the label has worn off, send us a photo of the controller and the kiln's serial number.
What is the difference between the new and replacement price?The replacement price assumes your old board is returned to Evenheat. The new price does not. Same board either way.
Can I fit it myself?Many people do, but it is work inside a live appliance control panel. If you are not comfortable isolating the kiln and working on the panel, have an electrician or a kiln technician do it.
My kiln is a high-fire multizone with a TAP — can I still get a board?Ask us. Evenheat has suspended TAP on those kilns and is offering ICON+ instead, so there may be a conversion rather than a replacement board.
Send us the controller label and the kiln serialBoards are controller-specific and the new-versus-replacement choice changes the price. Send us a photo of the controller and the serial number and we will confirm the right part and the right price before you pay.
