Evenheat Ceramic Kiln - RM II 810
The RM II 810 is a compact workhorse designed for casual potters and home studios who need professional results without dedicated electrical service. Its 120V plug-and-play operation and 11.25-inch chamber make it ideal for small batch production, testing glazes, or learning ceramics without the commitment of a larger kiln. Built in Michigan with Evenheat's patented Quiet Drive relay and American-made 2.5-inch bricks for exceptional temperature consistency.

Common questions
Can I plug the RM II 810 into a regular household outlet?Yes. The RM II 810 runs on standard 120V household current and draws 15 amps, which fits within the capacity of a dedicated 20-amp circuit. You should use a dedicated circuit to avoid tripping breakers when other appliances are running, but no special electrical installation is required.
What's the difference between cone 5-1/2 and cone 6?Cone 5-1/2 (2200°F) is approximately 50°F cooler than cone 6 (2232°F). Most mid-range glazes formulated for cone 5-6 will mature properly at cone 5-1/2, though some cone 6 glazes may appear slightly underfired. If you primarily work with cone 6 clay bodies and glazes, consider the High Fire series kilns that reach cone 10.
How many mugs or bowls can I fit in this kiln? With 11.25-inch diameter and 9-inch depth, you can typically fit 4-6 standard mugs or 2-3 medium bowls per firing, depending on their size and how efficiently you load. The round chamber works well for plates and tiles up to 10 inches. Using kiln furniture with multiple shelves increases capacity significantly.
How long does a typical firing take with this kiln?Firing times vary based on your program, but a typical bisque firing to cone 04 takes 6-8 hours, while a glaze firing to cone 5 takes 8-10 hours. The 1800-watt element provides steady heating, though slower than larger 240V kilns. Plan for cooling time of 12+ hours before opening the lid.
Does buying from Peach State Pottery affect my warranty? No. We are an authorized Evenheat dealer. Your two-year warranty is fully valid and you have direct access to Evenheat’s support team. Buying from an unauthorized seller can void your warranty entirely.
