Authorized Evenheat dealer · full factory warranty

Brand new and shipped direct from Evenheat, so it carries Evenheat's full factory warranty. If something goes wrong, call us and we handle the claim with the factory for you.

Warranty terms are in the Warranty and support section below.

Returns: request within 15 days, unused

Because kilns are heavy and often built to order, returns are limited, so we'd rather help you pick the right one up front:

  • Ask within 15 days of purchase or 2 days after delivery, whichever comes first. We issue a return authorization (RA).
  • It must be new, unused (beyond the factory test fire) and in its original packaging.
  • A restocking fee of at least 25% applies, up to 50% on custom, 3-phase or made-to-order units. Return freight is on the buyer unless we made an error.
  • Damaged in transit? Note it on the delivery receipt, send us photos and we'll help with the freight claim.

Not included: kiln shelves, posts, kiln wash and downdraft vent (sold separately). Requires a 240V single-phase circuit (30A, 7200W) with a NEMA 6-50 receptacle.

Most 240V kilns need their own circuit and the matching outlet, installed by an electrician. Homes are usually 240V; schools and commercial buildings are often 208V, so pick the voltage that matches your panel.

Send us a photo of your breaker panel or outlet and we'll confirm before your kiln is built: 470-264-3563 (call or text).

Common questions
What size pieces can I fire in the RM II 1822?With a 17.5" diameter and 22.25" depth, you can fire pieces up to about 15-16" wide (leaving clearance from the walls) and stack shelves to about 20" tall. This works well for medium platters, tall vases, and multiple smaller pieces. The depth gives you flexibility to fire taller sculptural work or stack three to four shelf levels for production runs.
Do I need a dedicated 240V circuit for this kiln?Yes. The RM II 1822 draws 30 amps at 240V and comes with a NEMA 6-50 plug, so you'll need a dedicated 240V circuit with a NEMA 6-50 outlet and proper gauge wire. This is standard for mid-size ceramic kilns and should be installed by a licensed electrician, who can confirm the right breaker size.
How does block insulation compare to fiber insulation? The RM II uses 2.5" American-built bricks with 1" mineral wool backup insulation. This block construction provides superior structural strength, even heat distribution, and longer element life compared to fiber-only kilns. Brick kilns also maintain temperature stability better and are more durable for frequent high-fire use, though they take slightly longer to heat up initially.
What controller comes with this kiln? The Rampmaster II offers basic digital control with simple ramp/hold programming suitable for straightforward firing schedules. One controller ships per kiln, chosen at build: Evenheat's current lineup is Icon, Icon+, TAP I, TAP II, RampMaster II for ceramics and RampMaster 3 for glass and knife work. For the best experience, we recommend upgrading to the Genesis Spark or TAP touchscreen controllers, which offer modern interfaces, more programming capacity, and connectivity features.
