Jen-Ken · Controllers · Replacement boards Orton AutoFire® 12-Button Controller Board Replacement part · Board only — no housing · Orton AutoFire® 4000 12-button A replacement board for the Orton AutoFire® 12-button controller — the AutoFire® 4000 button pad. This is a repair part, not a controller: the board that goes inside an existing controller panel, with no housing, no enclosure and nothing to plug a kiln into. If your 12-button AutoFire® has failed and the panel around it is sound, this is the piece that brings it back. If you are adding programmed control to a manual kiln for the first time, you want a complete external controller instead.

Key features
Replacement control panel The AutoFire 12-button control panel, supplied as a replacement or retrofit part for an existing kiln.
Not included Orton sells the AutoFire wiring harness as a separate item, and a thermocouple is not supplied with a panel. Order both with the board if you do not already have them. Installation should be done by a qualified technician.
Optional accessories
Complete external controllersIf you want a controller rather than a repair part, the Orton AutoFire® 12-button and Slide remote controllers are listed separately.
Other replacement boardsWe also list the 3-button AutoFire, AutoFire® Slide touchscreen and SDS TAP/TAP II boards.
Common questions
Will this board fit my kiln?We cannot tell you from the listing, and we will not guess. Jen-Ken sells this board for their own kilns but publishes no fitment list — no kiln model, no voltage, no amperage, and no serial or build-date cut-off. We will not guess at it. Send us your kiln's model and serial number and we will check this board against your kiln before we ship it.
Is this a complete controller? No. This is the controller board component only — not a complete controller. It has no housing and no enclosure. If you need the whole unit, see our external controller listings instead.
Is it in stock?Jen-Ken currently lists this board as sold out. Ask us for availability before you order — we would rather tell you up front than take an order we cannot fill.
Is this the same as the AutoFire® 4000?The 12-button AutoFire® is the AutoFire® 4000 button pad, and this is the board behind it. That tells you which controller family the board belongs to — it does not tell you it fits your kiln. We still check the model and serial.
Can I fit it myself?Only if you are genuinely comfortable working inside a kiln control panel. This is a 240V circuit and the wrong board on the wrong kiln is a real hazard. If there is any doubt, have an electrician or a kiln technician do it — and let us confirm the part first.
Send us your model and serial number first Jen-Ken publishes no fitment data for these boards, so we check every one by hand against your kiln before it ships. Tell us the model and serial off your kiln's plate and we will confirm the right board — no guesswork on a live 240V circuit.
