Two of them fill a level in a round kiln, and that is the point: you can set the two halves on different post heights and fire a tall vase beside a tray of tiles in the same load. They are also far easier to lift in and out than a full shelf, and a crack costs you half as much. Each listing is one half, so order two per level.

Prices are per half shelf. A full level needs two, so budget double. Jen-Ken publishes a thickness only for the 21"; we have not guessed at the other two.

Common questions
Is this one shelf or two?One. The price is per half shelf. Two halves make a full level, so set the quantity to two unless you specifically want a single half.
Does the diameter mean the straight edge or the curve?The diameter is the full circle the half was cut from — so a 21" half shelf has a 21" straight edge and fits a kiln that takes a 21" round shelf.
Why would I pick halves over a full round?Three reasons: you can run two post heights on one level and fire mixed ware together; a half is light enough to load one-handed; and when one cracks you replace a half, not a whole shelf.
Do you stock a D-shaped half for oval kilns?These are semicircular halves for round kilns. Oval kilns take a different shape — ask us and we will confirm what your oval takes before you order.
