Evenheat · Kiln Furniture · Shelves Evenheat Square and Rectangular Kiln Shelves Six sizes · 7.25" to 24" · Sold individually Square and rectangular shelves for Evenheat’s box-chambered kilns — the glass, knife and heat-treat ovens rather than the round ceramic kilns. The small sizes also work as a second surface inside a bigger load, set on short posts above a full shelf. Evenheat quote all three dimensions, and the thickness matters: a ¾" shelf stays flat across 24" where a ½" one would sag.

The 20" square is cheaper than the 16" square and the 17" rectangle is cheaper than both — that is Evenheat’s own list pricing. The 20" and 24" ship freight; the four smaller sizes go flat rate.

Common questions
Which size fits my kiln?Measure the chamber and leave clearance on every side so air can move; a shelf that touches the brick blocks circulation and can chip the lining. Send us your model number and we will tell you the right size.
Can I use a square shelf in a round kiln?Only the small sizes, as an extra plate inside a load on short posts. For a full level in a round kiln you want a full-round or two halves — a square leaves the edges unsupported and blocks airflow in the corners.
Is the thicker shelf worth the money? At the bigger sizes you do not get a choice, and that is deliberate — Evenheat specify ¾" at 20" and up because a thinner shelf would bow over that span. At the small sizes ½" is plenty.
Not sure which shelf fits? Send us the model number, or the chamber measurements. We will confirm the size and how many a full load takes.
