Evenheat · Salt Bath · Drip Shields Evenheat Salt Bath Drip Shields Two models · Lid or control panel · Consumable Molten salt creeps, and what it creeps onto it eats. Drip shields are the sacrificial layer between the salt and the parts you do not want to replace — the lid and the control panel. They are meant to be consumed; a shield that looks terrible has done its job. Pick your bath, then whether you need the lid shields or the control panel shield.

Salt Bath 709 and 718Lid$57.6007453.003
Salt Bath 709 and 718Control panel$57.6007453.004

All four are the same price, so the only thing that matters is getting the model and the location right. The 709 and the 718 share a part; the 818 does not.
Key features
Drip shield for one locationEvenheat list the lid part as “shields” plural and the control panel part as singular. We will confirm the exact count with the factory before your order ships rather than guess at it here.
Nothing elseNo lid, no control panel, no fixings beyond what Evenheat supply with the shield.
Common questions
How often do these need changing? It depends entirely on how hard you run the bath and how carefully you load it. There is no hour figure worth quoting. Inspect them when you clean the pot: once salt has gone right through a shield it is no longer protecting anything.
Do I need both the lid and the panel shield? Most people run both, because they protect different things. If you are only replacing one, replace the one that looks worse — but order the pair if it has been a while, since the shipping is the same.
Will the 709 part fit an 818?No. Evenheat list them as separate part numbers for a reason. The 709 and 718 share a shield; the 818 is its own.
Running a salt bath and not sure what else is due? Tell us the model and roughly how long it has been in service. We will tell you which consumables are worth ordering together and which can wait.
