Evenheat · Parts · Heating elementsReplacement heating elements for Evenheat’s RM II and Classic ceramic kilns, from the little 810 up to the 2922. The smaller kilns take one element. The taller ones use two different elements — a top-and-bottom element and a center element — and they are not interchangeable, so count the rings on your kiln and note which one has failed before you order.

Prices are per element. A tall kiln needs several, and the top-and-bottom and center parts are priced differently — count the rings and add the whole set up before you budget.
What’s included
One element per unitThe model and position you select, supplied individually rather than as a set. Set the quantity if you are replacing more than one.
Element connectorsEvenheat say they include connectors with their heating elements, and list 2 connectors plus crimp-on ring terminals on most element packages.
Not includedNo element insulators, no thermocouple and no wiring harness. Those are separate parts — tell us what the repair involves and we will make sure nothing is missing.
Fitment checked before it shipsSeveral Evenheat models changed element count mid-production. Send us the model and serial number off the data plate and we will confirm the right part before anything leaves.

Common questions
What is the difference between a top-and-bottom element and a center element? On the taller kilns the top and bottom rings and the center rings draw different wattages, so Evenheat supply two different parts. They look similar and they are not interchangeable. Count from the top and note which ring has failed — or send us a photo and we will tell you.
Is my kiln an RM II, a Classic or a High Fire? The data plate says. It matters: the High Fire (HF) models use their own elements, which are listed separately, and an HF element will not do the job of an RM II one even where the model number looks similar.
How do I know which element I need?Go by the model and serial number on your kiln’s data plate, and by the position of the element you are replacing. Several Evenheat models changed from a single element to three partway through production, so the serial number — not the model name — is what decides. Send us both and we will confirm the part before it ships.
Should I replace one element or the whole set?Elements age together. If one has failed on a kiln with a few hundred firings on it, the others are not far behind, and one fresh element beside several tired ones fires unevenly. Plenty of studios replace the full set for that reason. Ask us and we will price it both ways.
Do element connectors come with it?Evenheat say they include element connectors with their heating elements, and most element packages are listed as 2 connectors plus crimp-on ring terminals where the kiln needs them. If you want spares, or insulators, we sell both in packs of four.
Can I fit an element myself?Only if you are comfortable working inside a kiln control panel with the power isolated at the breaker. Most of these are 240V circuits. If there is any doubt at all, have an electrician or a kiln technician do the work — and let us confirm the part is right for your kiln first.
Send us your model and serial number firstEvenheat changed the element count on several models mid-production, so the serial number decides which part fits. Read it off the data plate, send it over, and we will confirm the right element before you pay — no guesswork on a live circuit.
