Evenheat · Replacement Parts · Lids Evenheat Kiln Lids Five shapes · Three model series · Factory replacement A cracked or crumbling lid is the most common reason a good Evenheat kiln gets retired early, and it should not be. Pick the number of sides your kiln has, then the series it belongs to, and this is the factory lid for it. Two things to get right before you order: count the sides of your kiln, and check the series badge or data plate, because a High Fire lid is built to a different spec from an RM II lid of the same shape.

Evenheat list no Deluxe lid for the 6 and 7 sided kilns, so those two combinations do not exist. The 8, 10 and 12 sided Deluxe and High Fire lids are the same price as each other but are different parts — order by your series, not by price.
Key features
One kiln lidThe bare lid in the shape and series you select, from Evenheat.
No elements or hardwareNo heating elements, no hinge, no lid lift, no handle. If you want a lid with elements already fitted, Evenheat sell those as a separate assembly for some models — ask us.
Common questions
How do I know how many sides my kiln has?Look down at the kiln from above and count the flat faces of the shell. Evenheat’s round-bodied kilns are actually polygons — a 10 sided kiln looks round until you count. If you would rather not guess, send us the model number off the data plate and we will tell you.
Which series is my kiln? The data plate states it. RM II and Classic cover the standard ceramic kilns, High Fire (HF) are the higher-rated bodies, and Deluxe is a separate trim level. Getting this wrong matters — the brick spec differs even where the shape and price match.
Can I fit it myself? Most people can. It is heavy and awkward rather than technically difficult, and you will want a second pair of hands. If your kiln has a Dyna-Lift or a hinge assembly, those come off and go back on with the old lid; they are not included here.
Is a new lid worth it against a new kiln?Usually, yes — a lid is a fraction of a kiln. The honest exception is when the lid has gone because the whole body is tired: if the bottom is also crumbling and the elements are near the end, you are part-way to the price of a rebuild. Send us photos and we will give you a straight answer rather than just selling you the lid.
Not sure which lid your kiln takes? Send us the model number off the data plate, or a photo of the kiln from above. We will confirm the side count and series before anything ships.
