Evenheat · Electrical Parts · Transformer Evenheat Control Transformer 24Vct Two current ratings · 24Vct · Controller power supply The control transformer steps mains down to the 24Vct the controller runs on. When one fails the symptom is usually a controller that is dead or resetting rather than a kiln that will not heat — the elements are fine, the brain has lost its power supply. Two ratings are listed; match the one your kiln was built with.

1200mA$36.8011801.300
Yes, the 1200mA is the cheaper of the two. That is Evenheat’s list price, not an error on our side — and it is not a reason to fit the bigger one. Match what the kiln was built with, or ask us.

Common questions
Which rating does my kiln use?Read it off the transformer that is in there now — the rating is printed on the body. If it is too charred to read, send us the kiln model and controller type and we will look it up. Do not fit the 1200mA just because it is cheaper and bigger; the rest of the circuit was designed around a specific part.
How do I know the transformer is the fault? The usual signs are a controller with no display, a display that resets mid-firing, or a kiln that is live at the wall but shows nothing. Those also describe a blown control fuse, which costs $6.40 — check the fuse first.
Can I fit it myself? This is mains wiring inside a control box. If you are comfortable and competent with that, it is a straightforward swap. If you are not, have an electrician do it — this is not the part of a kiln to learn on.
Controller dead and not sure why? Tell us the model and what the display is doing. We will help you work out whether it is the fuse, the transformer or the board before you spend anything.
