Olympic Kilns · Electric Kiln · 120-Volt Test Kiln Olympic Doll E / Test E Electric Kiln Doll E / Test E · 120V · 11.25″ W × 7″ D × 9″ H · 0.33 cu ft · Cone 10 / 2350°F The Doll E / Test E is a compact oval test kiln that plugs into any standard household outlet, making it ideal for glaze testing, small production work, and educational settings. Its 11.25″ × 7″ × 9″ oval chamber accommodates test tiles, small pieces, and glaze samples while reaching Cone 10 temperatures. Common questions
Can I plug this kiln into a regular household outlet?
Yes, the Doll E / Test E operates on standard 120V household power and includes a 3-prong plug that fits standard outlets. However, we strongly recommend using a dedicated 20-amp circuit to prevent tripping breakers or overloading circuits shared with other appliances. An electrician can verify your outlet is on a dedicated circuit and confirm proper wiring.
What size shelves and furniture do I need for this kiln?
The oval chamber measures 11.25″ wide by 7″ deep, so you'll need custom-cut oval shelves or rectangular shelves trimmed to fit. Olympic offers a furniture kit specifically sized for this kiln's dimensions. Standard round or square shelves from other kilns will not fit properly due to the unique oval shape.
Is this kiln suitable for production work or only testing?
While primarily designed as a test kiln for glaze development and small samples, the Doll E / Test E is capable of production firing for very small items like jewelry components, miniatures, test tiles for tile makers, and small sculptural pieces. The 0.33 cubic foot capacity limits batch sizes but offers quick turnaround for small production runs.
How do I register my kiln warranty?
Olympic Kilns requires warranty registration within 30 days of delivery. You can register online at Olympic's website using your serial number and purchase date. Warranty coverage is valid only for kilns purchased through authorized dealers like Peach State Pottery. Keep your invoice as proof of purchase date.
What's the difference between the Doll E and Test E models?
The Doll E and Test E are the same kiln with two different model names used interchangeably by Olympic. Both feature identical specifications: 11.25″ × 7″ × 9″ oval chamber, 120V operation, Cone 10 capability, and the KilnStar controller. The dual naming reflects Olympic's historical product line conventions.

Common questions about this kiln

Still stuck? Call or text (470) 264-3563 and talk it through with a real person.

Is freight delivery included in the price?

No. Kiln prices do not include freight, and we do not quietly build it into the product price. Freight is charged at a flat rate based on your delivery address and is shown at checkout. Liftgate service is included when it is needed, and standard delivery is curbside. You can estimate your delivered cost with the ZIP code tool above the Add to Cart button.

Can I return this kiln if it is not right?

Return requests can be submitted within 30 days of delivery. The kiln needs to be in its original packaging, in new and resellable condition, and approved before it is sent back. A restocking fee may apply. Completing the manufacturer's recommended first test firing does not by itself make a kiln non-returnable, so you can confirm it works before you commit. Full terms are on our Returns page.

What electrical supply do I need for this kiln?

The Specifications tab on this page lists this model's voltage, amperage, required breaker size and NEMA plug configuration. Most 240V kilns need their own dedicated circuit fitted by a licensed electrician, while many 120V models run from a standard household outlet. If you are unsure what your space can support, call or text (470) 264-3563 before ordering.

Does this kiln come with a warranty?

Yes. This kiln carries the Olympic Kilns manufacturer warranty. Coverage length, what is included and any registration deadline are listed in the Specifications tab on this page. We are an authorized Olympic Kilns dealer, which is a condition of warranty coverage on most kiln brands.

What comes with the kiln, and what do I need to buy separately?

The What's Included tab on this page lists exactly what ships with this kiln. Most kilns need shelves, posts and kiln wash before your first firing, and these are not always included. A vent is recommended for indoor installations. Any add-ons available for this model are shown above the Add to Cart button.
