Common questions
Why not just temper in my hardening oven?You can, but it means your hardening oven sits occupied at low temperature for a one- to two-hour draw cycle instead of starting the next batch. A dedicated LT tempering oven lets you harden and temper in parallel, which is the main reason bladesmiths running any volume add one.
Can the LT be used as a standalone oven, or does it have to stack?Both. Designed to sit directly on top of any matching 22.5″-depth LB, KO, or KF Extreme oven, turning your existing hardening oven's stand into a two-tier hardening-and-tempering station. It also works perfectly well on its own stand as a dedicated tempering-only station if you'd rather keep it separate from your hardening oven's footprint.
Can I put an LT tempering oven on top of a KH model?No — Evenheat specifically does not design the LT series to stack on KH ovens. It's built to match the depth of the LB, KO, and KF Extreme lines. Confirm your base oven's model before ordering if you plan to stack.
What's a typical double-temper schedule on this oven?Most knife steels call for two one- to two-hour holds at the target draw temperature with a cool-down in between. At a 1200°F ceiling, the LT covers virtually every standard tempering range used in bladesmithing.
Does buying from Peach State Pottery affect my warranty?No. We are an authorized Evenheat dealer, so your two-year warranty is fully valid and you have direct access to Evenheat's support team. Buying from an unauthorized seller can void your warranty entirely.

Is freight delivery included in the price?

No. Kiln prices do not include freight, and we do not quietly build it into the product price. Freight is charged at a flat rate based on your delivery address and is shown at checkout. Liftgate service is included when it is needed, and standard delivery is curbside. You can estimate your delivered cost with the ZIP code tool above the Add to Cart button.

Can I return this kiln if it is not right?

Return requests can be submitted within 30 days of delivery. The kiln needs to be in its original packaging, in new and resellable condition, and approved before it is sent back. A restocking fee may apply. Completing the manufacturer's recommended first test firing does not by itself make a kiln non-returnable, so you can confirm it works before you commit. What electrical supply do I need for this kiln?

The Specifications tab on this page lists this model's voltage, amperage, required breaker size and NEMA plug configuration. Most 240V kilns need their own dedicated circuit fitted by a licensed electrician, while many 120V models run from a standard household outlet.
