Olympic Kilns · Electric Kiln · Medallion Artist Series Olympic Medallion Artist Series 1818HE Electric Kiln MAS1818HE · 208/240V · 17.5″ dia × 18″ D · 2.63 cu ft · Cone 10 / 2350°F The MAS1818HE is the most compact kiln in Olympic's Medallion Artist Series, built for studios where floor space is at a premium but Cone 10 performance is non-negotiable. Its 2-section stackable design keeps the footprint small without sacrificing the 3-inch brick insulation and balanced element layout that give the whole MAS line even, reliable firings. It ships standard with the KilnStar digital controller, so it's ready to program and fire the day it arrives.

Common questions
Do I need an electrician to install this kiln?
Yes. The MAS1818HE requires a dedicated 30-amp, 240V circuit with #10 copper wire (#8 for runs over 40 ft) and a NEMA 6-30 receptacle, installed by a licensed electrician according to local electrical codes. The electrical supply must be single-phase with proper grounding. Installation by anyone other than a qualified electrician may void your warranty and create serious safety hazards.
Does this kiln come with shelves and posts?
No. Kiln furniture is sold separately because different users have different needs based on the work they're firing. We recommend ordering a furniture kit sized for the 17.5″ chamber when you purchase the kiln. A typical starter kit includes 2-3 full shelves, posts in multiple heights, and stilts for glazed pieces.
Can I add a section to make this kiln taller?
Yes. The MAS1818HE's stackable design allows a middle section to be added to increase firing chamber depth, similar to the larger MAS1823HE. When adding a section, you must also recalculate your electrical requirements, as the additional elements will increase amperage draw and may require a larger breaker and wire gauge. Consult Olympic Kilns or Peach State Pottery before modifying your kiln configuration.
What's the difference between 208V and 240V operation?
The MAS1818HE can operate on either 208V or 240V single-phase power. At 240V, the kiln draws 21 amps and reaches full temperature faster. At 208V (common in commercial buildings), it draws 24 amps and heats slightly slower but still reaches Cone 10. Both require a 30-amp breaker. Your electrician will determine which voltage is available at your location.
How do I register my warranty?
Register your kiln at the Olympic Kilns website within 30 days of delivery. You'll need your serial number (located on the control panel label), purchase date, and proof of purchase from an authorized dealer. Warranty registration is required for coverage and must be completed within the 30-day window. Peach State Pottery can assist with registration if needed.

Common questions about this kiln

Still stuck? Call or text (470) 264-3563 and talk it through with a real person.

Is freight delivery included in the price?

No. Kiln prices do not include freight, and we do not quietly build it into the product price. Freight is charged at a flat rate based on your delivery address and is shown at checkout. Liftgate service is included when it is needed, and standard delivery is curbside. You can estimate your delivered cost with the ZIP code tool above the Add to Cart button.

Can I return this kiln if it is not right?

Return requests can be submitted within 30 days of delivery. The kiln needs to be in its original packaging, in new and resellable condition, and approved before it is sent back. A restocking fee may apply. Completing the manufacturer's recommended first test firing does not by itself make a kiln non-returnable, so you can confirm it works before you commit. Full terms are on our Returns page.

What electrical supply do I need for this kiln?

The Specifications tab on this page lists this model's voltage, amperage, required breaker size and NEMA plug configuration. Most 240V kilns need their own dedicated circuit fitted by a licensed electrician, while many 120V models run from a standard household outlet. If you are unsure what your space can support, call or text (470) 264-3563 before ordering.

Does this kiln come with a warranty?

Yes. This kiln carries the Olympic Kilns manufacturer warranty. Coverage length, what is included and any registration deadline are listed in the Specifications tab on this page. We are an authorized Olympic Kilns dealer, which is a condition of warranty coverage on most kiln brands.

What comes with the kiln, and what do I need to buy separately?

The What's Included tab on this page lists exactly what ships with this kiln. Most kilns need shelves, posts and kiln wash before your first firing, and these are not always included. A vent is recommended for indoor installations. Any add-ons available for this model are shown above the Add to Cart button.
