The solid JK² shelves are for glass, where a seam telegraphs through; the halves give you two more clay levels and are easier to lift. Twenty-four posts, six each of 1", 2", 4" and 6", and a pound of shelf primer.

Common questions
Which kilns does this fit?Jen-Ken lists it as the Ceram-a-Glass furniture kit for the JK² 22". We carry a JK² Ceram-a-Glass Kiln and a JK² 22" Ceramic Kiln — those are two different kilns, and Jen-Ken's title names a third combination, so this is one to check rather than assume. Jen-Ken names the kiln model in the kit's title only — they publish no separate compatibility list. Send us your model number and we will confirm it.
How is this different from the JK² 29" kit?Shelf type. This kit gives you two solid full JK² shelves plus four 26" halves — four levels, two of them one-piece — for $695. The JK² 29" kit is eight 26" JK² half shelves with no full shelves — four levels, all split — for $650. Posts and primer are the same in both: twenty-four posts, six per height, and one pound.
How is this different from the Oval Ceram-a-Glass kit?Shelf shape. This kit has round JK² shelves and straight 26" halves. The Oval Ceram-a-Glass kit has six D-shaped half shelves, cut for an oval chamber. Both are $695 and both carry twenty-four posts and a pound of primer. They are not interchangeable — the shape is the whole difference.
Can I buy more of the 26" half shelves?Yes, they are sold individually, as are posts. Tell us which level you are adding and we will match the shelf.

Is freight delivery included in the price?

No. Kiln prices do not include freight, and we do not quietly build it into the product price. Freight is charged at a flat rate based on your delivery address and is shown at checkout. Liftgate service is included when it is needed, and standard delivery is curbside. You can estimate your delivered cost with the ZIP code tool above the Add to Cart button.

Can I return this kiln if it is not right?

Return requests can be submitted within 30 days of delivery. The kiln needs to be in its original packaging, in new and resellable condition, and approved before it is sent back. A restocking fee may apply. Completing the manufacturer's recommended first test firing does not by itself make a kiln non-returnable, so you can confirm it works before you commit. What electrical supply do I need for this kiln?

The Specifications tab on this page lists this model's voltage, amperage, required breaker size and NEMA plug configuration. Most 240V kilns need their own dedicated circuit fitted by a licensed electrician, while many 120V models run from a standard household outlet. Does this kiln come with a warranty?

Yes. This kiln carries the Jen-Ken manufacturer warranty. Coverage length, what is included and any registration deadline are listed in the Specifications tab on this page. We are an authorized Jen-Ken dealer, which is a condition of warranty coverage on most kiln brands.

What comes with the kiln, and what do I need to buy separately?

The What's Included tab on this page lists exactly what ships with this kiln. Most kilns need shelves, posts and kiln wash before your first firing, and these are not always included.
