Evenheat · Parts · Element hardwareThe small parts that go with an element change. Connectors join the element tails to the kiln’s wiring; insulators are the ceramic “mushroom” pieces that hold the element tails where they pass through the brick. Evenheat include connectors with their heating elements, so these are spares — useful because the old ones are usually brittle by the time an element fails, and nobody wants to stop halfway through a repair. Both are sold in packs of four.

Common questions
Do I need connectors if I am buying an element from you?Not necessarily. Evenheat say they include connectors with their heating elements, and most element packages are listed as 2 connectors plus crimp-on ring terminals where the kiln needs them. A pack of four is spares — worth having, not essential.
What does an element insulator actually do?It is the ceramic piece that holds the element tails where they pass out through the brick, keeping the live wire off the steel case. They get brittle with heat and age and they crumble when you disturb them, which is usually the moment you discover you needed spares.
My kiln is a Deluxe model. Can I use the 1" insulators?Evenheat say these are for non-Deluxe kilns only, so we are not going to tell you otherwise. Ask us with your model and serial number and we will confirm which insulator the Deluxe takes before you order.
Can I fit these myself?Only as part of a repair you are already comfortable doing, with the power isolated at the breaker. These parts sit on a live circuit. If there is any doubt at all, have an electrician or a kiln technician do the work.
