2-year limited warranty on brick kilns, 1-year on fiber kilns — direct from Jen-Ken.
Jen-Ken · Glass Kiln · ProFusion Fiber Series Jen-Ken ProFusion 52 Deep Glass Kiln Model ProFusion 52 Deep · 240V · 52" x 26" x 15" chamber · 1,700°F The ProFusion 52 Deep is the largest fiber kiln Jen-Ken builds and it is an architectural-scale tool: 52 inches by 26 inches of shelf, with 14 inches of clear height under the quartz element tubes, in an all-fiber chamber that heats and cools far faster than brick of the same volume. That combination is aimed at studios doing large panels, counter tops and sink bowls where a brick kiln of the same size would spend most of a week on each firing. It weighs 450 lbs, stands about four feet by five on the floor, and the controller mounts on the wall rather than the kiln body.

Key features
Orton AutoFire 4000 12-button controllerJen-Ken fits the 12-button AutoFire 4000 as standard on this model, and mounts it so it can go on the wall rather than the kiln.
Quartz-encased elementsThe elements run inside quartz tubes rather than being buried in the fiber, so the chamber can be all-fiber and still fire directly on the work.
1-year limited warrantyJen-Ken's fiber-kiln warranty, direct from the factory to the original purchaser.
Built to order in FloridaAssembled in Jen-Ken's own Lakeland shop rather than drop-shipped from a distributor.
Crate contents — ask usJen-Ken does not publish a crate list for this model. We will confirm exactly what ships with it before you order rather than guess.
Freight and siting adviceAt 650 lbs shipping and 54" x 68" x 66" crated, this one needs planning. We will talk through access, the lift gate and where it lands before it leaves Florida.
Optional accessories
Kiln shelves, posts and a furniture kitGlass wants a flat, primed shelf and fibre paper; casting wants posts and headroom. Jen-Ken's own shelves and posts are sized to this chamber and we stock them alongside the kiln. Tell us your shelf size and we will match it.
Kiln wash and shelf primerGlass will weld itself to an unprimed shelf. Most glass workers go through primer steadily, so it is worth adding to a first order.
Slumping moulds and fibre paperMoulds and fibre paper are the other half of a warm-glass setup. Tell us the shelf size you are working to and we will point you at what fits.
Controller upgradeJen-Ken fits the Orton AutoFire 4000 12-button as standard and offers the Orton AutoFire Slide touchscreen and the SDS TAP II in its place. It is a factory option rather than a checkout add-on — call us and we will quote it.
Common questions
Why is there no breaker size in the spec table?Because Jen-Ken's two sources give different answers and one of them does not work. Their product page lists a 60-amp breaker behind a NEMA 6-50R receptacle — a 6-50R is a 50-amp device, so it cannot sit on a 60-amp circuit. The wiring table in Jen-Ken's own owner's manual gives the ProFusion line a 50-amp fuse on the same receptacle, which is coherent but contradicts the page. The breaker size is one of the two numbers you hand your electrician, so we will not print a figure we cannot stand behind. Call or email us before anything is wired and we will get the nameplate figure from the factory for your build.
What is safe to rely on, then?240V single phase, a 45-amp draw and 10,800 watts are consistent everywhere and are forced by the arithmetic — 10,800W at 240V is 45A. The NEMA 6-50R receptacle is given by both Jen-Ken sources, and #6 copper is given by both as well. Those are published above. Size the circuit to the 45-amp draw with a licensed electrician and confirm the breaker with us first.
What cone will it reach?Jen-Ken publishes no cone rating for any kiln in their glass line, and we have not invented one. What is published is the maximum temperature, which is in the table above. Cone numbers are a ceramics measure; for glass work the temperature and the firing schedule are what matter.
What will actually fit in it?A 52" x 26" shelf with about 14 inches of clear height under the elements. That is large-panel and counter-top territory, and deep enough for substantial slumping moulds. If your work is smaller than about 38 inches, the ProFusion 38 does the same job for a good deal less money and a good deal less floor space.
Is there anything to know about the room?Yes. It crates at 54" x 68" x 66" and 650 lbs, so doorways, corners and floor loading all matter, and it is a motor-freight delivery with a lift gate. Talk to us about access before you order — this is the model where getting it into the building is the hard part, not running the circuit.
What actually comes in the crate?Jen-Ken does not publish a crate contents list for every model, so we do not want to guess. Call or email us and we will confirm exactly what ships with this kiln — stand, furniture, shelf — before you order.
How long until it ships?Jen-Ken builds to order in Lakeland, Florida. Their own guidance is that kilns can take several weeks to months depending on the production queue. Call us and we will get you the current estimate before you commit.
Does buying from Peach State Pottery affect my warranty? No. We are an authorized Jen-Ken dealer, so the factory warranty applies exactly as it would buying direct. Note that Jen-Ken warrants fiber kilns for one year and brick kilns for two — the ProFusion is a fiber kiln, so it is the one-year line. Keep your proof of purchase.
Talk to us before you book the electrician. We are authorized Jen-Ken dealers based in Georgia. Jen-Ken's page and Jen-Ken's own manual disagree on this kiln's breaker size, and one of the two figures is not a circuit that can be built. Call us and we will get the nameplate figures from the factory for your install.

Common questions about this kiln

Still stuck? Call or text (470) 264-3563 and talk it through with a real person.

Is freight delivery included in the price?

No. Kiln prices do not include freight, and we do not quietly build it into the product price. Freight is charged at a flat rate based on your delivery address and is shown at checkout. Liftgate service is included when it is needed, and standard delivery is curbside. You can estimate your delivered cost with the ZIP code tool above the Add to Cart button.

Can I return this kiln if it is not right?

Return requests can be submitted within 30 days of delivery. The kiln needs to be in its original packaging, in new and resellable condition, and approved before it is sent back. A restocking fee may apply. Completing the manufacturer's recommended first test firing does not by itself make a kiln non-returnable, so you can confirm it works before you commit. Full terms are on our Returns page.

What electrical supply do I need for this kiln?

The Specifications tab on this page lists this model's voltage, amperage, required breaker size and NEMA plug configuration. Most 240V kilns need their own dedicated circuit fitted by a licensed electrician, while many 120V models run from a standard household outlet. If you are unsure what your space can support, call or text (470) 264-3563 before ordering.

Does this kiln come with a warranty?

Yes. This kiln carries the Jen-Ken manufacturer warranty. Coverage length, what is included and any registration deadline are listed in the Specifications tab on this page. We are an authorized Jen-Ken dealer, which is a condition of warranty coverage on most kiln brands.

What comes with the kiln, and what do I need to buy separately?

The What's Included tab on this page lists exactly what ships with this kiln. Most kilns need shelves, posts and kiln wash before your first firing, and these are not always included. A vent is recommended for indoor installations. Any add-ons available for this model are shown above the Add to Cart button.
