Three full shelves and two half shelves, and twenty-four posts: six each of 1", 2", 4" and 6". Six posts per height rather than three is what a 31"-deep chamber needs, because you are building four or five levels, not two. We carry the 2431 Ceramic Kiln, the 2431 3" and the Mega Coil 2431 3".

Common questions
Which kilns does this fit?Jen-Ken lists it as the furniture kit for the 2431. We carry the 2431 Ceramic Kiln, the 2431 3" Ceramic Kiln and the Mega Coil 2431 3". Jen-Ken names the kiln model in the kit's title only — they publish no separate compatibility list. Send us your model number and we will confirm it.
How is this different from the Furniture Kit 2422?One more full shelf — three instead of two — and twice the posts: twenty-four against twelve, six per height instead of three. Both kits include two half shelves and a pound of primer. The 2422 kit is $420; this one is $550.
Is one pound of primer enough for three shelves?For the first coat, yes — a pound goes a long way. It is a consumable, though: you re-coat as it chips, so most people add a second pound within a few months.
Do I need all four post heights?Not on day one, but you will use them. Four heights is what lets one box of furniture fire tiles one week and tall vases the next without buying anything else.

Is freight delivery included in the price?

No. Kiln prices do not include freight, and we do not quietly build it into the product price. Freight is charged at a flat rate based on your delivery address and is shown at checkout. Liftgate service is included when it is needed, and standard delivery is curbside. You can estimate your delivered cost with the ZIP code tool above the Add to Cart button.

Can I return this kiln if it is not right?

Return requests can be submitted within 30 days of delivery. The kiln needs to be in its original packaging, in new and resellable condition, and approved before it is sent back. A restocking fee may apply. Completing the manufacturer's recommended first test firing does not by itself make a kiln non-returnable, so you can confirm it works before you commit. What electrical supply do I need for this kiln?

The Specifications tab on this page lists this model's voltage, amperage, required breaker size and NEMA plug configuration. Most 240V kilns need their own dedicated circuit fitted by a licensed electrician, while many 120V models run from a standard household outlet. Does this kiln come with a warranty?

Yes. This kiln carries the Jen-Ken manufacturer warranty. Coverage length, what is included and any registration deadline are listed in the Specifications tab on this page. We are an authorized Jen-Ken dealer, which is a condition of warranty coverage on most kiln brands.
