Jen-Ken · Kiln Furniture · Furniture Kits Jen-Ken Furniture Kit 1815 Ceram-a-Glass 2 full + 2 half · 12 posts · Listed for the 1815 Ceram-a-Glass A mixed kit: two full shelves for straightforward levels, plus two half shelves you can pair into a level or run singly when a piece is too tall to sit under a full shelf. Twelve posts in four heights — 1", 2", 4" and 6" — cover everything from stacked tiles to a tall vase. This is the kit Jen-Ken lists under the 1815 Ceram-a-Glass name. Everything in the box is Jen-Ken's own kiln furniture, bought as one matched set rather than assembled piece by piece.

Key features
2 full shelvesYour main firing levels. Jen-Ken supplies them matched to this kit and publishes the count, not the dimensions — we confirm the shelf size against your kiln before it ships.
2 half shelvesTwo halves make one level. The gap down the middle lets heat move through the load and lets a tall piece stand between them.
Three 1" postsThe short posts. Lift the bottom shelf off the floor and close up tight stacks of flat work.
Three 2" postsThe everyday spacing for tiles, test tiles, jewelry and shallow bowls.
Three 4" postsMid-height spacing — mugs, small bowls, slumped glass.
Three 6" postsThe tall posts, for vases, taller forms and deep molds.
1 lb shelf primer1 lb of shelf primer (kiln wash). Brush it onto the shelves before the first firing so glaze cannot bond to them. Re-coat as it chips.
Optional accessories
Spare kiln shelvesShelves are consumables — they warp, take glaze drips and eventually crack. A spare on the rack is cheaper than losing a firing.
Extra kiln postsJen-Ken posts are sold individually, so you can top up one height rather than buying another whole set.
More shelf primerOne pound coats the shelves in this kit a few times over. Order more when it starts chipping instead of firing a bare shelf.

Common questions
Which kiln does this kit fit?Jen-Ken sells it as the Furniture Kit 1815 Ceram-a-Glass. The model name in the kit's name is the only fitment Jen-Ken publishes — there is no compatibility list on their page. We stock the Jen-Ken Ceram-a-Glass 1815 Kiln. We are not going to tell you it fits another model, and we are not going to tell you it does not. Send us your model number and we will confirm it with Jen-Ken before we ship.
What size are the shelves?Jen-Ken publishes the counts — two full and two half — but not the dimensions for this kit. We confirm the shelf size against your Ceram-a-Glass 1815 before it ships.
Is the kit cheaper than buying the parts loose?Jen-Ken prices the kit as a matched set, and if you are outfitting a kiln from scratch that is normally the cheaper route — you get the shelves, four post heights and the primer in one box. If you only need one shelf or a couple of posts, buy the loose parts instead.
How is this different from the 1822 kit?The published contents are identical, and so is the price: two full shelves, two half shelves, three each of the 1", 2", 4" and 6" posts, and a pound of primer. The difference is the kiln they are cut for — this one is listed for the Ceram-a-Glass 1815, the other for the 1822. Jen-Ken does not publish the shelf dimensions for either, so order the one named for your kiln.
Not sure this is the right kit for your kiln? Send us your Jen-Ken model number and we will confirm the shelf sizes and post heights before anything ships. No guessing, no returns.

Common questions about this kiln

Still stuck? Call or text (470) 264-3563 and talk it through with a real person.

Is freight delivery included in the price?

No. Kiln prices do not include freight, and we do not quietly build it into the product price. Freight is charged at a flat rate based on your delivery address and is shown at checkout. Liftgate service is included when it is needed, and standard delivery is curbside. You can estimate your delivered cost with the ZIP code tool above the Add to Cart button.

Can I return this kiln if it is not right?

Return requests can be submitted within 30 days of delivery. The kiln needs to be in its original packaging, in new and resellable condition, and approved before it is sent back. A restocking fee may apply. Completing the manufacturer's recommended first test firing does not by itself make a kiln non-returnable, so you can confirm it works before you commit. Full terms are on our Returns page.

What electrical supply do I need for this kiln?

The Specifications tab on this page lists this model's voltage, amperage, required breaker size and NEMA plug configuration. Most 240V kilns need their own dedicated circuit fitted by a licensed electrician, while many 120V models run from a standard household outlet. If you are unsure what your space can support, call or text (470) 264-3563 before ordering.

Does this kiln come with a warranty?

Yes. This kiln carries the Jen-Ken manufacturer warranty. Coverage length, what is included and any registration deadline are listed in the Specifications tab on this page. We are an authorized Jen-Ken dealer, which is a condition of warranty coverage on most kiln brands.

What comes with the kiln, and what do I need to buy separately?

The What's Included tab on this page lists exactly what ships with this kiln. Most kilns need shelves, posts and kiln wash before your first firing, and these are not always included. A vent is recommended for indoor installations. Any add-ons available for this model are shown above the Add to Cart button.
