Common questions
What size electrical circuit does the RM II 1813 need? The 1813 draws 18 amps at 240V and uses a NEMA 6-20 plug. You'll need a dedicated 240V circuit with a fully rated 20-amp breaker. Have a licensed electrician confirm your panel and outlet before delivery.
Is Cone 8 enough for stoneware and porcelain?Yes. Most mid-range stoneware and porcelain clay bodies mature between Cone 6 and Cone 8, so the 1813 covers the vast majority of functional pottery work. If you need Cone 10, look at Evenheat's High Fire series instead.
How is the RM II line different from the High Fire series?RM II kilns use 2.5-inch firebrick and top out around Cone 8, while High Fire kilns use 3-inch firebrick and are built to fire Cone 10 daily. If you're firing mid-range glazes, RM II saves you money without sacrificing what you need.
Does it ship assembled?Yes, the kiln arrives fully assembled on a pallet via freight truck. You'll want help getting it off the pallet and into position — it weighs around 100 lbs.
Does buying from Peach State Pottery affect my warranty? No. We're an authorized Evenheat dealer, so your two-year warranty is fully valid and you have direct access to Evenheat's support team. Buying from an unauthorized seller can void your warranty entirely.
Not sure if the EH-RM2-1813 is right for you? We're authorized Evenheat dealers based in Atlanta. Call, email, or chat — we'll give you a straight answer about specs, sizing, and accessories before you spend a dollar.
