What’s included
Bartlett V6-CF / RTC-1000 digital controller12-key digital controller with cone fire and ramp-hold user programs featuring delay start, preheat, cone offset, skip step, and a cone table for easy temperature lookup. Provides full firing profile review before and during firings for precise control every time.
Welded heavy angle iron frameIndustrial-grade welded angle iron construction designed to withstand the demands of daily production use. Built to support the weight and thermal stress of a 42 cubic foot chamber firing to Cone 10.
Stainless steel jacketDurable stainless steel exterior resists corrosion and maintains a professional appearance even after years of heavy use in demanding studio environments.
Pilot lightVisible indicator shows at a glance when the kiln is powered on and actively firing, an essential safety feature in busy shared studio spaces.
Dedicated breaker boxIntegrated breaker box provides easy access for electrical safety and includes lockout capability to prevent unauthorized operation or accidental starts during maintenance.
Steel rail track and loading carThe kiln chamber rolls out smoothly on heavy-duty steel rails, bringing the entire loading area to you instead of requiring you to reach deep into a stationary chamber. Makes loading sculptural work, large plates, or heavy production runs significantly easier and safer.

Optional accessories
Solid state relayIncredibly tight temperature control, longer element life, lower energy bills, and no moving parts to wear out. Highly recommended for production use.
Furniture kit4 layers of shelving, assorted posts, and a 5 lb bag of kiln wash sized for this kiln’s chamber. Order with the kiln to avoid separate shipping charges.
Genesis touchscreen controllerUpgrade from the standard V6-CF to Bartlett’s touchscreen interface with expanded program storage for complex production schedules.
Type S thermocouplePlatinum thermocouple for greater accuracy and longer lifespan than standard Type K. Recommended for high-fire production work.
Vent systemDowndraft venting improves air quality, extends element life, and produces more even temperatures. Strongly recommended for indoor installations.
480V optionFor facilities running 480V three-phase service, this kiln can be configured to match your existing electrical infrastructure.
Common questions
Do I need an electrician to install this kiln?Absolutely. A kiln this size drawing 200+ amps requires a licensed electrician to install dedicated 240V or 208V service with appropriately sized wire, conduit, and breaker protection. This is not a plug-in appliance—it requires hardwired installation that meets local electrical codes. Factor installation costs into your budget.
How many shelves can I fit in this kiln? The standard furniture kit provides 4 layers of shelving, which is a practical starting point for most production work. Depending on your work height and firing needs, you can configure more or fewer layers. The 45" interior height gives you substantial flexibility for tall pieces or dense stacking.
How does the car loading system work? The entire kiln chamber is mounted on a heavy-duty cart that rolls out on steel rails embedded in your floor. You load your work on the cart while it's fully extended outside the kiln, then roll the loaded cart back into the firing position. This eliminates the need to reach deep into a chamber and makes loading sculptural or heavy production work much safer and more ergonomic.
Should I add a solid state relay?Yes—especially for production-scale use. Solid state relays provide tighter temperature control for more consistent results, extend element life by reducing thermal shock, lower your electrical costs, and eliminate the mechanical wear that eventually requires relay replacement. On a kiln this size firing regularly, a solid state relay pays for itself.
Does buying from Peach State Pottery affect my warranty? No. We are an authorized Olympic Kilns dealer. Your one-year warranty is fully valid and you have direct access to Olympic’s factory support team. Buying from an unauthorized seller or the used market can void your warranty entirely.
