Common questions
What electrical work is required to install the 2323HE?
The 2323HE requires a dedicated 60-amp circuit with hardwire installation (no plug). At 240V, it draws 44 amps; at 208V, it draws 51 amps. You'll need 6-gauge copper wire run from your electrical panel to the kiln location. A licensed electrician should complete the installation and ensure proper grounding and circuit protection. The kiln does not come with a power cord and must be hardwired according to local electrical codes.
Does the kiln come with shelves and posts?
No, furniture (shelves, posts, and stilts) is not included with the kiln and must be purchased separately. We recommend ordering a furniture kit sized for the 23.375″ diameter chamber when you purchase the kiln. A typical furniture kit for this size includes multiple shelves, various height posts, and stilts for proper stacking and airflow during firing.
Can I add or remove sections from this kiln later?
Yes, the 2323HE's stackable design allows you to purchase additional 7.5-inch rings to increase firing chamber height or remove rings to reduce capacity. Each ring adds approximately 1.94 cubic feet of volume. Changes to the number of sections require element and electrical adjustments, so consult with Olympic Kilns or Peach State Pottery before modifying your kiln configuration.
How do I activate the Olympic Kilns warranty?
You must register your kiln with Olympic Kilns within 30 days of delivery to activate the one-year limited warranty. Registration can be completed on the Olympic Kilns website using your kiln serial number and purchase information. The warranty is valid only for kilns purchased through authorized dealers like Peach State Pottery and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
