Common questions
What's the advantage of dual access on such a small kiln?Front access lets you build pieces directly on the shelf and slide them in horizontally—perfect for delicate arrangements and techniques like raking or roll-ups. Top access makes it easy to lower slumping molds or draping forms into place without disturbing shelf placement. On a small kiln where precision matters, having both options prevents costly mistakes and gives you flexibility for different techniques.
Can this kiln handle a full annealing cycle for glass?Yes. The hybrid fiber-and-firebrick construction is specifically designed for glass work. Fiber provides fast heat-up, while the firebrick delivers the thermal mass needed for controlled, even cooling during extended annealing holds. The lid vent also helps you manage cooling rates precisely.
Will this run on a standard household outlet?Yes. The Studio Pro STP operates on 120V at 15 amps, so it plugs into any standard outlet. No special wiring or electrician required. Just make sure the circuit isn't shared with other high-draw appliances during firing.
What size projects can I realistically fit in a 7.25" chamber? This kiln is ideal for jewelry components, test tiles, small fused pendants, ornaments, and design elements that will be incorporated into larger pieces. You can fit a single 6" square piece comfortably, or stack shelves to fire multiple smaller items like earrings or cabochons. It's not meant for dinner plates, but it's perfect for samplers and production jewelry work.
Does buying from Peach State Pottery affect my warranty? No. We are an authorized Evenheat dealer. Your two-year warranty is fully valid and you have direct access to Evenheat’s support team. Buying from an unauthorized seller can void your warranty entirely.
Not sure if the EH-SP-STP is right for you? We’re authorized Evenheat dealers based in Atlanta. Call, email, or chat — we’ll give you a straight answer about specs, sizing, and accessories before you spend a dollar.
