Common questions
What size pieces can I fire in the RM II 2929?The 29-inch diameter chamber accommodates extremely large work. You can fire pieces up to approximately 27 inches wide (leaving space for shelf support) and stack shelves to use the full 29-inch depth. The 11.3 cubic foot capacity makes this ideal for large sculptural work, oversized platters, or high-volume production firing.
How is the split-jacket maintenance line different from other kilns? Most kilns require extensive disassembly to replace elements or access internal components. The RM II 2929's split-jacket design uses removable screws that let you separate the stainless steel jacket sections quickly. This cuts element replacement time significantly and makes routine maintenance much easier, reducing downtime in production environments.
What electrical service do I need for this kiln? The RM II 2929 requires 240V single-phase power with appropriate amperage based on your specific configuration. Contact us with your location and we'll provide exact electrical specifications and help coordinate installation requirements. Professional electrician installation is strongly recommended for a kiln this size.
Can this kiln reach Cone 10 for high-fire work? No, the RM II 2929 is rated to 2300°F which reaches Cone 8. For Cone 10 high-fire applications, you'll need an Evenheat High Fire series kiln. However, Cone 8 is sufficient for most stoneware, many porcelain bodies, and the vast majority of ceramic glazes used in production and educational studios.
Does buying from Peach State Pottery affect my warranty? No. We are an authorized Evenheat dealer. Your two-year warranty is fully valid and you have direct access to Evenheat’s support team. Buying from an unauthorized seller can void your warranty entirely.
Not sure if the EH-RM2-2929 is right for you? We’re authorized Evenheat dealers based in Atlanta. Call, email, or chat — we’ll give you a straight answer about specs, sizing, and accessories before you spend a dollar.
