Highlights of the Kilncare IKON Top Loading Ceramic Kilns
- Perfect for the first kiln for a home potter, smaller professional pottery studio, school, TAFE, University or Art space needing a smaller sized kiln
- 3 year warranty
- As little as $4 per bisque firing and $5 per glaze firing
- Accurate firing temperature
- R type thermocouple
- Total insulation 113mm, using WDF Micropore which is nearly double the insulation properties of other commonly used micropore.
- K23 high quality 75mm bricks
- A1 Kanthal elements (we only use rated below 12 watts per square inch). The lower rating the better for durability and longevity. Other brands use 15 or 16 watts / square inch which means they will not last as long.
- Uniquely recessed lid for less gas escape, increased economy, and more even heat dispersion throughout the kiln. It also reduces the corrosion on and near the lid of the ceramic kiln.
- Easy to use pre programmed Stafford controller (KCR32C) with 32 programs available
- WIFI option available which allows for remote viewing and stopping the program via the gateway ap, monitor power usage, logs all firings and the ability to live monitor the firing times and temperature of your kiln to predict firing ramp rate and cool down times.
- Lid with hydraulic lift for super easy and safe lifting. The lid stays open without needing to hold it.
- Heavy duty castors as standard, for ease of movement of kiln
- Metal casing made from 304 brushed stainless steel, and added to any areas of high exposure to reduce degradation. The element power is kept in a separate panel from the main electrical components to ensure that the components are kept as cool as possible during the fire process
- Truly unmatched in terms of performance, reliability, longevity and structure.
