Common questions What does "quick-ship" mean for this kiln? The MAS1823HE ships from Peach State Pottery's dealer stock within days of order confirmation, rather than the standard 8–12 week Olympic factory lead time. This makes it ideal for studios, schools, and artists who need a kiln operational immediately. Standard Olympic warranty and support apply. Do I need an electrician to install this 240-volt kiln? Yes. The MAS1823HE requires 240-volt single-phase service with a dedicated 40-amp circuit and 8 AWG copper wiring. Most homes and studios do not have this pre-installed. Hire a licensed electrician familiar with NEC Article 422 (appliances) to install the appropriate breaker, wiring, and outlet or hardwired connection. Improper electrical installation voids your warranty. What comes in the included furniture kit? The furniture kit includes a complete set of kiln shelves and posts specifically sized for the 17.5″ diameter chamber. This typically includes full round shelves and various post heights to create multiple shelf levels. You'll be ready to load and fire as soon as the kiln is electrically connected. Can this kiln fire both ceramics and glass? The MAS1823HE is designed primarily for ceramic work through Cone 10. You can fire glass in it, but the deep chamber and standard lid configuration are not ideal for fusing. Consider the dual media lid kit accessory if you plan to regularly fire glass—this replaces the domed lid with a flat design optimized for even heat distribution during glass fusing. How do I register the kiln warranty? Register your kiln with Olympic within 30 days of delivery by completing the warranty card or online form with your serial number, purchase date, and dealer information. Peach State Pottery will provide all necessary documentation. Warranty coverage is valid only when purchased through authorized Olympic dealers—never buy from unauthorized resellers. Not sure if the MAS1823HE is the right kiln for your space? Our kiln specialists help Atlanta-area studios and artists match equipment to electrical capacity, firing schedules, and production needs.
