Common questions
Can I plug the 120V version into a regular wall outlet?
Yes, the 120V version of the 129E comes with a standard NEMA 5-15 plug that fits household outlets. However, you must use a dedicated 20-amp circuit—do not share the circuit with other appliances or lights. The 240V version requires hardwired installation by a licensed electrician.
Does this kiln include shelves and posts?
No, kiln furniture is not included with the 129E. You'll need to purchase a furniture kit separately, sized specifically for the 11.25″ diameter chamber. We recommend half-round or full-round shelves depending on your typical load size.
What's the difference between firing on 120V versus 240V?
Both voltage options reach the same Cone 6 / 2250°F maximum temperature. The 240V version fires approximately 30-40% faster due to higher wattage delivery, which saves time and slightly reduces energy costs per firing. The 120V version prioritizes convenience for spaces without 240V access.
How do I register the warranty?
You must register your kiln with Olympic Kilns within 30 days of delivery to activate the one-year limited warranty. Registration is completed online at Olympic's website using your serial number and proof of purchase. Warranty coverage is only valid for kilns purchased through authorized dealers like Peach State Pottery.
Can I add sections to this kiln later?
Yes, the 129E is part of Olympic's stackable system. You can purchase additional 9″ ring sections to increase the firing depth. Each added section increases chamber capacity and requires recalculating electrical load—consult with us before expanding to ensure your electrical service can handle the increased amperage.
Not sure if the Olympic 129E is the right kiln for your space? Our kiln specialists can help you evaluate voltage requirements, ventilation needs, and whether this compact size fits your firing schedule.

Warranty

Olympic Kilns Warranty

Olympic Kilns are warranted by Olympic Kilns / Haugen Manufacturing, Inc. for kilns used for ceramics, pottery, and glass, subject to the warranty periods, requirements, and exclusions listed below.

This warranty is provided by Olympic Kilns / Haugen Manufacturing, Inc. Peach State Pottery is here to help customers understand warranty coverage and assist with the process if warranty service is needed.

Warranty coverage depends on the kiln type and configuration.

Product / Component Warranty Period

All other Olympic kilns 2 years

Kiln furniture Not covered

Warranty coverage must be activated by registering your purchase.

What the Warranty Covers

If a covered manufacturing defect is confirmed, Olympic Kilns may repair, replace, or refund the affected part or product as appropriate.

Warranty Registration Required

To activate warranty coverage, your Olympic Kilns purchase must be registered. Keep your proof of purchase, order information, and any product documentation for your records.

Reporting a Defect

  • The date the issue was discovered
  • The place of purchase
  • Proof of purchase
  • A description of the defect
  • Photos or videos, if available

Warranty Exclusions

The Olympic Kilns warranty does not cover damage or issues caused by:

  • Kilns damaged or altered after leaving the factory.

  • Over-firing or exceeding the maximum cone or temperature rating.
  • Improper installation.
  • Use of electrical voltages different from those specified for the kiln.

Freight Damage Is Not Warranty Damage

Damage that occurs during shipping or delivery is not treated as a manufacturing warranty defect. Freight damage must be documented at delivery and handled through the freight claim process.

Please inspect your shipment carefully before signing for delivery. Take photos or video of the packaging before unpacking and continue documenting the unpacking process, especially if you notice any visible damage.

Warranty Claim Process

If you believe your Olympic kiln has a warranty-related issue, contact Peach State Pottery with your order information and a description of the issue. We will help review the situation and assist with the next steps.

If the issue is not resolved through the retailer, Olympic Kilns must be contacted in writing within six (6) days of the first indication of the defect.

Olympic Kilns will determine which parts appear to require repair and will provide instructions for shipment when needed.

Customer Responsibilities

For warranty service, the customer may be responsible for dismantling, packaging, and shipping only the parts requested by Olympic Kilns.

  • Requested parts must be packaged carefully and shipped freight prepaid.
  • The customer is responsible for dismantling and reinstalling parts.
  • The customer is responsible for packaging and shipping costs unless otherwise stated.
  • Only the parts requested by Olympic Kilns should be shipped.

If an entire kiln is returned for warranty repair, the customer is responsible for prepaying the cost of packaging and shipping both to and from the factory.

Repair, Replacement, or Refund

If Olympic Kilns determines that the issue is due to a manufacturing defect, Olympic Kilns will repair, replace, or refund as appropriate within thirty (30) days.

Repaired or replacement parts will be shipped back to the customer at Olympic Kilns’ cost using the customer’s package. The customer is responsible for reinstalling the parts.

Non-Warranty Repairs

If the parts sent to Olympic Kilns require repair or replacement for a reason not covered by the warranty, no work will be performed until the customer authorizes the work and makes payment arrangements.

Limits of Warranty Coverage

Olympic Kilns shall not be liable for injuries to persons or property, or for incidental, contingent, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to every customer. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

We stand behind every kiln and piece of equipment we sell. Most products include the manufacturer’s standard warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.

If you receive a damaged or defective item, note it at delivery and email clear photos to sales@peachstatepottery.com the same day. We’ll handle replacement or repair at no cost to you and cover return shipping for approved claims.

Please retain all original packaging until the issue is resolved.

Manufacturer’s Recommended First Firing is allowed without affecting your return eligibility, as long as the kiln is returned in excellent, like-new condition with all original parts and packaging.

This warranty is provided by Olympic Kilns / Haugen Manufacturing, Inc. Peach State Pottery is here to help customers understand warranty coverage and assist with the process if warranty service is needed.

Cone 10 kilns 1 year
All other Olympic kilns 2 years
Thermocouples Not covered

Warranty coverage must be activated by registering your purchase.

What the Warranty Covers

Olympic Kilns warranty coverage applies to defects in manufacturing for eligible kilns used for ceramics, pottery, and glass.

Defects must be reported in writing within six (6) days of discovery. Your written notice should include:

  • The date the issue was discovered
  • The place of purchase
  • Proof of purchase
  • A description of the defect
  • Photos or videos, if available

Warranty Exclusions

The Olympic Kilns warranty does not cover damage or issues caused by:

  • Kilns damaged or altered after leaving the factory.
  • Damage caused by reduction firing or salt firing.
  • Over-firing or exceeding the maximum cone or temperature rating.
  • Improper installation.
  • Use of electrical voltages different from those specified for the kiln.
  • Firing materials other than ceramics and glass.
  • Thermocouples or kiln furniture.
