Evenheat Ceramic Kiln - RM II 2329
The RM II 2329 is a true studio-size workhorse with a massive 7.5 cubic foot chamber that accommodates even the largest ceramic pieces. Built with 2.5-inch thick American-made bricks and Evenheat's patented Quiet Drive Solid State Relay, this kiln delivers exceptional temperature distribution and accuracy firing after firing. The maintenance line split jacket design makes element replacement and maintenance dramatically easier than conventional kilns.

What’s included
Quiet Drive Solid State RelayEvenheat's patented relay with zero moving parts triggers up to 60 times per second for ultra-tight temperature control. Uses zero-crossing technology to extend element life and reduce energy consumption.
Full Stainless Steel JacketCompletely stainless construction eliminates leaks, shifting, and structural weakness. The maintenance line split design allows the jacket to separate for easy element replacement and internal access.
2.5-Inch Firebrick ConstructionMade entirely of high-quality American-built firebricks for superior heat retention, excellent temperature distribution, and exceptional firing efficiency throughout the 7.5 cubic foot chamber.
Corner-Mounted HardwareLoad-bearing hinge and lid handle brackets installed on the corners provide added strength and durability. The extra-wide 16-inch lid handle is designed to be easily lifted while wearing gloves.
Lid Security BarKeeps the lid securely open during loading and unloading for safe, simple operation without the need to prop or hold the heavy lid.
Swing-Away Peep Hole CoverDurable metal cover instead of fragile ceramic plugs that break or get lost. Swings away for easy cone viewing during firing and stays attached to the kiln.

Common questions
What makes the maintenance line split jacket different from standard kilns? The RM II 2329 features a vertical split in the stainless steel jacket that's held together with removable screws. When you need to replace elements or access the interior for maintenance, simply remove the screws and separate the two jacket halves. This eliminates the need to disassemble the entire kiln or work through awkward access points, saving hours of labor during routine maintenance.
Can this kiln handle production work or is it better for occasional firings? The RM II 2329 is explicitly designed as a workhorse for production studios, educational programs, and high-volume operations. The 2.5-inch brick thickness provides excellent heat retention for energy-efficient back-to-back firings, and the Quiet Drive relay's zero-crossing technology extends element life even with frequent use. Many production potters run these kilns multiple times per week for years.
How does the 7.5 cubic foot capacity translate to actual shelf space? With a 23.5-inch diameter chamber, you can fit standard 22-inch round shelves or 19-inch square shelves with plenty of clearance. The 29-inch depth allows for 5-6 shelves with typical spacing, giving you room for tall pieces, large platters, or high-density loads of smaller production work. This is one of the largest chambers available in a top-loading electric kiln.
What electrical service do I need for this kiln? The RM II 2329 requires 240V service. The specific amperage and breaker size will depend on which controller configuration you select. We recommend having a licensed electrician evaluate your studio's electrical panel capacity before purchase. Contact us with your configuration choice and we'll provide exact electrical specifications for your electrician.
