Can this kiln really reach Cone 10 consistently?Yes. The 3-inch firebrick construction is specifically engineered for high-fire work. The extra insulation allows the HF 1813 to reach Cone 10 efficiently and hold temperature accurately. Many potters fire to Cone 10 regularly with excellent results. Pair it with the Quiet Drive relay for even tighter temperature control.
What's the largest piece I can fit in this kiln?The 18-inch diameter chamber can accommodate large porcelain dolls, tall vases, and most wheel-thrown work. The 13-inch height is generous for a personal kiln. Keep in mind you'll need clearance around pieces for proper heat circulation—plan for about 1 inch of space from walls and between items.
