The HB89E requires a dedicated 15-amp circuit with a standard 120V outlet. While it uses a standard 3-prong plug, you should verify that the outlet is on its own breaker and not shared with other appliances to prevent tripping during firing.
Does this kiln come with shelves and posts?
No, kiln furniture is sold separately. You'll need to purchase a furniture kit with 8″ × 8″ shelves and posts appropriate for the small chamber size. Most test kiln users need at least one shelf and 3–4 posts for basic test tile firing.
What can I realistically fire in an 8″ × 8″ × 9″ chamber?
