Common questions Can I plug this kiln into a regular wall outlet? Yes. The Doll E / Test E uses a standard 15-amp 120-volt outlet—the same type found throughout your home. While no electrician is required, we recommend using a dedicated circuit (one that doesn't share power with other appliances) to prevent tripping your breaker during firing. Check that the outlet is in good condition and not shared with high-draw appliances like refrigerators or power tools. Does this kiln include kiln furniture, or do I need to buy it separately? This quick-ship package includes a furniture kit with shelves and posts sized specifically for the Doll E / Test E chamber. The furniture kit is included in the $1,944 price—you'll be ready to fire as soon as the kiln arrives. What does "quick-ship" mean for this kiln? Quick-ship models are stocked at Peach State Pottery and ship within days of your order, rather than the standard 8-12 week factory lead time for most Olympic kilns. If you need a test kiln immediately for production or educational use, this is your fastest path to firing. What's the practical capacity of this kiln for glaze testing? The 11.25″ wide by 7″ deep by 9″ tall oval chamber can hold approximately 12-20 glaze test tiles per firing, depending on tile size and stacking arrangement. It's ideal for testing glazes, small sculptural pieces, jewelry components, or miniature work—but not intended as a production kiln for finished ware. How do I register my kiln warranty? Olympic Kilns requires warranty registration within 30 days of delivery. You'll register directly with Olympic using the serial number on your kiln and proof of purchase from Peach State Pottery. The warranty is only valid when purchased through authorized dealers like Peach State Pottery—gray-market or unauthorized resellers void all warranty coverage. Not sure if the Doll E / Test E is the right kiln for your studio? Our team can help you compare test kilns, confirm electrical compatibility, and answer questions about quick-ship availability.
