What's the difference between fusing and slumping, and can this kiln do both?
Yes, the HS-12G handles both processes. Fusing joins multiple pieces of glass together at temperatures between 1300°F–1500°F to create flat panels or decorative elements. Slumping (also called draping) reshapes fused glass over or into molds at lower temperatures around 1200°F–1350°F to create bowls, plates, and curved forms. Do I need an electrician to install this kiln?

You should use a dedicated 15-amp circuit (meaning no other appliances sharing that breaker) to ensure reliable operation. Avoid using extension cords.
